Sit down with almost any salesman from any industry, and they all will tell you that their company provides quality products or services that are competitively priced -- that they offer good service and provide good "value." And if you talk to ten different salesmen a day, chances are you’ll hear ten different versions of the same story. As a customer, you can easily determine if that company’s products or services are competitively priced, are of the quality you require and are provided to you when you want them. But when it comes to determining the "value" component of what they offer, it usually is nothing more than another nebulous buzzword that no one can identify or quantify.
